How we work

ZFA is committed to providing a Zionist voice that champions Jewish national rights while embracing open dialogue and presenting a critical analysis of Israeli government policies. Our chapters in Israel and throughout North America participate in the struggles for justice, peace and Zionist fulfillment through constructive activism, public education, leadership training, experiential programs, special events and community involvement.

ZFA Relationship with Campus & Young Adult Chapters
ZFA grants freedom and flexibility to campus chapters in order to better allow each branch to develop a unique strategy that best fits the needs of its campus environment. Students holding an executive board position in their ZFA chapter are expected to undergo leadership training sessions and read books assigned by ZFA staff.

Young Adult chapters are given additional autonomy to create programs and events in their respective communities. As the needs of each community are unique, ZFA operates within a variety of group structures. Activists holding leadership positions are expected to undergo leadership training and read books assigned by ZFA staff.

ZFA Relationship with Affiliates & Outside Organizations
ZFA works with local student groups outside of our network to help better equip them to effectively present the justice of the Zionist struggle on their campus. Affiliate groups are able to access ZFA speakers, programs and training sessions on condition that they coordinate all ZFA-related activities with our staff.

ZFA has no connection, official or unofficial, to any political party, lobby, government institution or advocacy group within the State of Israel or in the Diaspora. We are open to cooperation on a case by case basis with likeminded organizations in creating programs and events that align with our mission.

Cosponsoring and Logo Policy
ZFA will only cosponsor programs that generally align with our mission and do not go against the core principles of our movement. The ZFA name and logo can therefore only be used for programs and events that meet these criteria. Our staff is happy to assist students in creating programs that best suit their campus environment within the context of our overall mission.

ZFA reserves the right to use our discretion when deciding which programs will or will not be permitted to use ZFA branding. We encourage students to actively communicate with our staff when questions arise.

ZFA student activists have the right to appeal official ZFA decisions.

Communication and Feedback
ZFA aspires to give all of our members and activists an opportunity to relay ideas, comments, questions and concerns to our staff.

ZFA staff works closely with our activists in the field on campaigns, programming and chapter policy decisions. We also welcome feedback from student leaders regarding movement policies, official positions and other decisions.

Anyone with comments or questions for ZFA is encouraged to e-mail us at info@zionistfreedom.org
